An officer-cadre role in India's largest public-sector bank. SBI recruits Probationary Officers nationwide through a three-stage selection.
Eligibility
- Age: 21 to 30 years, with upper-age relaxation for SC/ST (5 yrs), OBC-NCL (3 yrs) and PwBD as per rules.
- Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university; final-year students may apply subject to proof of graduation.
Exam pattern & selection
- Preliminary (100 marks · 1 hour)English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability with sectional timing. Qualifying stage — marks are not counted in the final merit.
- Main (≈250 marks)Objective test (200 marks): Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness and English. Plus a Descriptive English test (≈50 marks: letter + essay).
- Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & InterviewShortlisted candidates take a psychometric test followed by a group exercise and interview. Final merit is from Mains + interview.
Selection: Prelims (qualifying) → Mains → Psychometric test, Group Exercise & Interview → final merit list.
