About the RBI Grade B exam

One of the most sought-after banking jobs — a Manager-level post in the country's central bank, with a heavy focus on economics, finance and management.

Eligibility

  • Age: 21 to 30 years, with upper-age relaxation for reserved categories as per rules.
  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% (50% for SC/ST/PwBD), or a postgraduate degree with the prescribed marks.

Exam pattern & selection

  1. Phase 1 (200 marks · objective)
    General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. Screening stage.
  2. Phase 2 (three papers)
    Paper I — Economic & Social Issues (ESI); Paper II — English (Writing Skills, descriptive); Paper III — Finance & Management (F&M).
  3. Interview
    Shortlisted candidates face an interview; final merit is Phase 2 + interview.

Selection: Phase 1 (screening) → Phase 2 (3 papers) → Interview → final merit.
